As a web designer I have shopped around a bit for what I need in a webhost, and Hostgator has it all – in spades. I Love that there is a toll-free number I can call where there is always a knowledgeable person at the other end of the line with an attitude of helpfulness. I Love that if I need help with one of my client accounts I can get it quickly and easily. I Love that Joomla and all of its components install well and run well on Hostgator. I am 100% pleased in every respect- my shopping days are over!
I have never in my life experienced service like this, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – and never wait more than 2 mins for an operator!
The live chat system is Brilliant!
Well done HostGator, and I will be hosting with you for a really long time!
And the web hosting book you get on signup really makes it easy!
I currently have a reseller account and a Vps account and both are brilliant.
Great stuff.
Bye!
A little expensive but the best hosting firm that I have ever used. Previosuly I have been using local firms but their technical support was terrible and I’ve experienced lots of downtimes. Hostgator assists immediately 7/24. I did not have any problems. Helpdesk is perfect..
I’ve been with them only a short time and I can’t say enough about how much I love them. I came from a webhost company that really let me down – it went from bad to worse. Finally gave them up and can really feel confident that I will be with them a long time.
I think they are the top for reseller packages they are excellent. Only I would like them to reduce the prices or introduce the unlimited plan to reseller package if possible so we can compete.

Interview with Douglas Hanna- HostGator LLC:
Douglas Hanna is responsible for customer service, quality assurance, customer feedback management, and customer service operations. He is also responsible for HostGator’s corporate communications and public relations efforts.
1.Hello Douglas Hanna, welcome and thanks for being with us today.
HostGator was established in 2002. Growth of HostGator was phenomenal. In just 7+ years, you become one of the leading web hosting companies. Please give us a brief introduction to HostGator and its amazing run.
Hanna: Sure. HostGator is one of the largest shared, reseller, and dedicated hosts in the hosting industry today. We’re still the largest provider of white-label reseller hosting and we’re continuing to grow at an astonishing rate.
In August 2008, we were recognized by Inc. Magazine as the 21st fastest growing private company in the United States, which was a huge honor and something we were very excited about.
2. What other awards and recognition have HostGator won?
Hanna: So, the Inc. Magazine recognition was big. It was a national recognition from a publication we read and respected and we were pretty close to the top of a list of 5000 extraordinary companies.
3. The Toll Free Number for Business Plan* customers is a stunner. What else should we expect in the near future?
Hanna: We also want to include a virtual fax feature where our customers could be sent faxes in a traditional way and receive them via email. Technologically, we’re able to do this, but there are some legal barriers standing in our way that we are looking into at this time.
We currently have a partnership with VOIPo, which is a voice-over-IP company and we’re talking to them about possibly starting a reseller voice-over-IP offering. This might be a while off, but it is something we are thinking about and looking into.
Beyond that one, we have gotten a lot of other awards and recognitions, though. There is a page on our site that showcases some of these awards (http://www.hostgator.com/reviews.shtml) and we’re always getting reviewed by different websites and publications.
4. Is ‘Cloud Hosting’* in any part of HostGator’s future plan?
Hanna: This is a question we’ve been asked before. Because web hosting is a technology, it tends to move fast. At HostGator, we aren’t trend obsessed (our business model hasn’t changed much since we started), but that doesn’t mean we aren’t paying attention or innovating.
With that in mind, cloud hosting is definitely a popular topic in hosting right now. We haven’t explored it in much detail, but it is also something we are watching. We still think it is years away from competing with the traditional shared hosting services that we do provide, but it is a technology worth watching and looking into as time goes on.
5. Moving from a web host to another can be pretty painful. What can HostGator do for customers who wish to switch their web host to yours?
Hanna: We will transfer their accounts from their old web host to us for free! We also have a great guide about how to move to a new web host with zero downtime and make that available to all of our new customers. Our transfer team is a great resource for new customers and they definitely help make the process of switching to a web host seamless.
6.One last question, What’s the future of hosting and hosting industry? What’s your take on new technologies like Cloud hosting and Grid hosting?
Hanna: I don’t think anyone really knows what the future of the hosting industry is going to be like. People run around worrying about Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, and Amazon and I think a lot of that fear is premature at this point. It’s something to think about and consider, but definitely not something to lose sleep over.
I highly doubt that the shared hosting industry as we know it is going away any time soon. Hosting is still more of a service business than it is a technology business and I think as long as the same people (individuals, freelancers, small businesses, etc.) continue to buy shared hosting for relatively little money, the business will pretty much stick to that model. The big companies that I mentioned earlier are used to and prefer to tackle problems that can be automated and solved by engineers and computer scientists. Shared hosting just isn’t that type of industry at this time.
With that in mind, though, cloud hosting and grid hosting are definitely great technologies with a lot of promise. I think they’re going to continue to grow in popularity and we’re watching how they progress and develop at HostGator, but I also think they’re a lot more than what the average hosting customer needs.
What I think is going to be more relevant to the hosting industry as a whole is the blurring of the lines between traditional web hosting and software as a service. Google Sites lets customers create simple websites for no money. Is that hosting, software as a service, or both? There are lots of examples like that and I think the lines will blur a bit more and change the “traditional” definition of hosting as a result of that.
There’re more and more web developers are choosing to host their websites with hostgator, since they know hostgator is one of the greatest web hosting they can trust! Thank you for arriving our web hosting reviews website and here we only deliver the best web hosting options for the web developers! You can 100% trust with our web hosting reviews.
