This is a very good web hosting site. This site provides services at very cheap rates. I have also founded another site which is like this one and very easy to use check out www.hostingfest.com HostingFest is a windows based Web Hosting Company. I have an account with Fatcow and I’m more than pleased with their services. Fatcow is very user friendly and most importantly tech support has always been 100%. The time I am on hold is very minimal and any questions or help I’ve needed is remedied in a timely and polite manner.
If you are truly websavvy, I’m imagining you could manipulate this service into doing what you want. Also, if you are really new to or lack knowledge in webhosting/sitebuilding, or are needing a website for the most basic purposes, it may serve you well. If you you fall somewhere in between…this site offers frustrating/awkward/buggy tools and TERRIBLE support. Not terrible in availability, as people are generally available for live chat, but terrible in troubleshooting. The “solutions” are often later provided offline via a support ticket and commonly contain directions that make no sense/did not address the original problem/direct you to do something you have already done, etc. After a year, I am looking for a new host.
They seem like a good hosting company, good uptime and lots of space included. I never noticed any downtime for the website, but one time I was trying to upload/FTP some stuff and they were having issues – no big deal to me on my personal site. I also setup a couple of non-profit sites with them too for the past few years.
I do have an issues sending email to Aol, but it may be my Dns company – regsiter.com. I’m going to move my Dns over to fatcow this year.
I have been a fatcow customer for about 8 years and they’re deals and customer service has just gotten better as they have grown! I regretted trying another company for a new website (godaddy.com) who does nothing but try to upsell you on everything, and godaddy’s control panel etc is almost impossible to get to and work with.
